We know we aren’t alone in being bummed about not having a regular First Friday evening tomorrow. Usually, April FF would be a good one with lots of spring themes and fun to be had.

Obviously, COVID-19 safety precautions prohibit all of the gathering downtown in our favorite FF hotspots. But maybe those precautions don’t have to mean no FF fun at all.

Like so much of our lives these days, why don’t we move First Friday online?

Let’s order takeout or delivery from our favorite downtown eateries. And while you’re kicked back watching Tiger King or whatever you’re into, why not pop onto the social media accounts of your favorite downtown shops and leave them an encouraging message or just say hello! Better yet, if you’re budget allows, shop their online stores! Buy the cute jumpsuit you’ve been eyeing on wildlandsupplyco.com or a book for your mom for Mother’s Day from fabledbookshop.com. Or a grab a giftcard from Cultivate 7twelve, to be used later. These are honestly just the first options that came to mind and there may be even more ways to enjoy a virtual First Friday!
