Baylor University’s Foster Pavilion is finally opened, and Downtown Waco can’t wait to watch our Baylor Bears play some basketball! As we welcome all of the Bear fans to downtown, we curated a list of parking, things to do, and restaurants for you to enjoy while you come into town to cheer on the Baylor Bears!
Looking for something to do while you stay in Downtown Waco? Foster Pavilion sits on the Brazos River and is on Downtown Waco’s Brazos Riverwalk! The 5.5-mile-long trail provides a lighted, continuous pathway from Baylor to Cameron Park. Safe for bikes and pedestrians, the riverwalk is perfect for those who want a scenic nature walk downtown!
If you’re not looking for a scenic walk on our visit, visit the slew of antique stores that call Downtown Waco home! From antique records held in pristine condition at Vintage Mio to antique home pieces at Cameron Trading Company, Downtown Waco is an antique lover’s paradise.

Parking during sporting events can be a stress-filled event that we want to help you avoid. Lucky for you, Downtown Waco has several free and paid parking spots within walking distance of Foster Pavilion!
A parking garage is being built right next to Foster Pavilion — only a few feet away from the entrance! This parking garage will be finished in the Spring of 2024. Also within a mile of Foster Pavillion is 2nd and Clay — a historic black church that is being revamped to be a restaurant and event center right across the road from Foster Pavillion. They are taking single-game and season ticket parking for the 2024 basketball season!
One of Waco’s most famous destinations is a couple blocks away, Magnolia Market. Magnolia Market holds low-priced daily parking, and streets are open for parking — though, keep an eye on street signs that show no parking zones.

Only a few blocks away, J-Petal and Poke is a poke bowl restaurant with different styles of desserts ranging from sweet crepes to Thai rolled ice cream! With homemade tortillas, chips, and handcrafted cocktails, you’ll taste Mexico in every bite!
Last on our list is Olive Branch, a bistro with hand-made baked goods and freshly prepared foods catered for everyone! Their goal is elevated comfort food in the heart of Texas and the perfect place for brunch, lunch, or dinner plans after or before the game!
