The Austin Avenue Art Fair: Lifting Up Local Waco Artists

Combining local art and community engagement, the Austin Avenue Art Fair is the perfect place to show your love for Waco – and its artistic talent. At this two-day event, you’ll experience the wonders of painting and live art, a battle of the best artists, relaxing live music by local bands, and more. Keep reading to learn more about the fair and its history!

The Woman Behind the Fair

Directed by local Waco artist Wendy Michelle Davis, the Austin Avenue Art Fair focuses on the celebration of art as an integral part of the community. For Wendy, this is more than just an opportunity to showcase local artists; it’s a way to forge new connections. Art pieces can be a “reflection of ourselves, and they make our lives richer and fuller, one stroke at a time,” Wendy said.

Saturday, November 22nd

Art Walk of Waco (Art WOW): 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Evening Band: 6 – 8 p.m.

Stick around as Suede takes the stage. This local fusion band blends R&B, funk, rock, and jazz for an energetic performance that’s the perfect way to end your Saturday at the fair.

Silent Auction

The silent auction opens Saturday and runs through Sunday, closing at 3:45 p.m. Don’t miss your chance to bid on unique works from talented local artists.

Sunday, November 23rd

Sunday at the Austin Avenue Art Fair offers a more laid-back vibe, perfect for a downtown stroll. Artist booths and live art will be on display all day, with acoustic performances from local musicians providing the soundtrack. Guests can place their final bids in the silent auction before 3:45 p.m. It’s the ideal way to wrap up the weekend — supporting local artists, soaking in creativity, and connecting with the community.

With two days full of artistic talent and community, you won’t want to miss this amazing event. There’s no ticket purchase required, so feel free to stop by! Be sure to check the Austin Avenue Art Fair’s website as the event gets closer for more information.
