Waco Welcomes New Businesses

It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and there’s so much to be thankful for. As we reflect on the year as it comes to a close, we couldn’t be more grateful for the thriving businesses in Downtown Waco, and we’re especially excited about the new stores that have opened up in the past several months. Have you had a chance to check out these new local spots?

Pignetti’s

If you love authentic Italian food and high-end wine, you’ll be right at home at Pignetti’s. With one location already in Temple, owner Clinton Harwell is excited to provide Waco locals with upscale dining in the historic building formerly known as the Phoenix Ballroom. With seating for more than 200 and an abundance of parking, a rarity for downtown, you’ll want to bring your friends and family pronto.

Collect ‘Em

A new collectors shop off Austin Ave., Collect ‘Em sells memorabilia items, from comics signed by Stan Lee to baseball relics autographed by iconic players. If you’re a bit of a nerd, this new shop is for you!

Twisted Sisters Patio Bar

Twisted Sisters Patio Bar should be on your weekend must-visit list. This new bar offers indoor and outdoor seating complete with porch swings at the bar and themed nights, including Thursday night karaoke. You can even rent out the space for your next event!

Loud Lacquer

Down the street in East Waco, Loud Lacquer has just opened its doors. The create-your-own nail polish salon has had an online presence for years, but the founder, California native Melody Hammer, felt it was time to establish a storefront. Stop by today and create your own nail polish, with customized pigment, base and shimmer. It’s the perfect girls’ day outing!

Studio Grocery

Do vintage items call your name? You need to check out Studio Grocery in downtown Waco. This new brick-and-mortar sells a specially curated collection of vintage items, from clothes to furniture. Stop by today and peek into the past.

Ramble and Company

Originally opened in Wichita Falls, Texas, Ramble and Company. is a women-run business that specializes in graphic tees and other products. The Ramble and Company founders believe in soaking in moments and relishing in the slow days, and their hand-printed products reflect their mission of bringing together communities to do exactly that. Their Waco location is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day except Tuesday.

More and more businesses are calling downtown Waco home, and we can’t wait to see what else is in store for our city. Help Waco thrive by checking out these local shops this holiday season!
