How to Fill Your Fall in Downtown Waco

It’s finally fall in Waco – there’s a chill in the air, the leaves are changing, and downtown Waco is as bustling as ever. From Baylor traditions to cultural festivals and delicious culinary experiences, fall in our city is an exciting season of tradition and community. Whether you’re a local or visiting us for the first time, join us and experience some of Waco’s most iconic events.

Baylor Homecoming

Recognized as the nation’s oldest collegiate homecoming, Baylor University Homecoming is one of Waco’s most beloved traditions. The packed weekend features the famous Homecoming Parade straight through the heart of downtown, a bonfire sparkling with school spirit on Baylor’s campus, and, of course, football at McLane Stadium. The Bears will face the UCF Knights on November 1st, so be sure to wear your green and gold!

Silobration at Magnolia

Magnolia’s Silobration is one of Waco’s most classic fall events, drawing in visitors from around the country every year. From Oct 23-25, this exciting festival will feature live music performances by Forrest Frank and NeedToBreathe, artisan vendors, food trucks, and tons of family-friendly activities. Check out the full list of events on their website!

Waco Diwali Festival

Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Lights, celebrated across India, South Asia, and right here in Waco, Texas. The second annual festival, presented by the Asian Leaders Network and Waco Downtown Farmers Market, will take place on Saturday, Oct 18, at the Bridge St. Plaza. You can expect to enjoy vibrant performers, local vendors, arts and crafts, and more! This celebration brings together Waco’s diverse community and allows visitors to experience an immersive cultural experience.

Waco Restaurant Week 2025

Waco Restaurant Week—a must for all food enthusiasts—is a city-wide celebration of Waco’s vibrant culinary scene. Taking place from October 24 to November 1, this weeklong celebration will showcase all the delicious flavors that make Waco unique, while giving patrons a chance to support local nonprofits. Restaurants, cafes, breweries and more local favorites will dish out limited-time menus and exclusive specials just for this week. Be sure to come with an appetite!
