Downtown Waco is definitely going through a growth spurt right now, with a number of developments underway. It’s hard to keep up with what is happening where, so we’ve created a little cheat sheet of the major current projects for you. If you’ve got family in town for the holidays, drive them around and tell them what’s what. They’ll be impressed with your downtown knowledge and hopefully with Waco’s strides too!

West Bay, off the I-35 southbound access road around 10th Street – Hotels and large retail including La Quinta, Aloft Hotel and three strip centers with restaurant and retail space
Union Hall, corner of Franklin Avenue and 8th Street – Food hall including space for MORE THAN 20 eateries and common eating space
Milo All Day, corner of Franklin Avenue and 11th Street – Restaurant (Milo All Day) plus butcher, sundries and package shop plus co-working space
6th Street and Columbus Avenue – Nexus Gaming gamer hub, coworking space
Waco Hippodrome, corner of Austin Avenue and 8th street – New addition includes a rooftop bar, first floor restaurant and three new theatres
The Madison, 1300 block of Austin Avenue – Apartments
