WFW (Work from Waco)

Since the pandemic, remote work has become the new normal for people all over the world, including right here in Waco. If you’re feeling uninspired by your at-home space, switch up your work environment by heading to one of the coworking spaces, coffee shops, or eateries downtown.

Created for people like you, there are three coworking spaces right in the heart of downtown Waco.

  • WacoWork: The first of its kind in Waco, WacoWork is a comfortable, stylish coworking space with a variety of workspace options, complete with a photo studio available for reservation.
  • Startup Waco: Located in Woolworth Suites in the heart of downtown, Startup Waco is focused on providing resources to uplift and support local entrepreneurs.
  • 25N Coworking Waco: Downtown’s newest coworking space with modern options for furnished private offices, meeting rooms, shared workspaces, and dedicated desks available to rent.

Downtown Waco has no shortage of coffee shops. Whether you’re in it for the caffeine or the vibes (or both), you’ve got options.

  • Dichotomy: A vintage-chic space serving premium coffee by day and cocktails by night with an unbeatable rooftop view overlooking downtown Waco.
  • Lighthouse Coffee: Lighthouse offers classic coffees, teas, and baked goods in a calming environment with big windows for natural lighting, giving you the feeling of working outside without suffering from the Texas heat.
  • Fabled Bookshop & Cafe: A quaint, independent bookshop with unique drinks inspired by popular book series like Harry Potter, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Winnie the Pooh.
  • Magnolia Press: Famous for its charming design, Magnolia Press is located on the grounds of the Silos and offers outdoor seating so you can work with a view.
  • One Day: While One Day is known for being a bustling cocktail bar at night, it doubles as a quiet spot to enjoy a coffee and get work done during the day.

Need a bite to eat while knocking out tasks? These restaurants are laptop-friendly.

  • Union Hall: A market-style food hall offering a wide variety of options including Mexican cuisine, sandwiches, salads, ramen and more.
  • Alpha Omega: A popular spot for Mediterranean dishes such as gyros, fresh pita & mezze platters, featuring plenty of vegetarian options.
  • Cha Community: Authentic Taiwanese & Chinese food right here in Waco, well known for their premium boba tea options.

However you choose to work from Waco, we hope this blog provided some ideas!
